$40 million can buy you a lot. For Los Angeles City Mayoral hopeful Rick Caruso, it bought him 40% of the vote. While his going rate for a percentage point came in at $1 million each, his opponent, Karen Bass, seems to have gotten a great deal at roughly $100,000 per percentage point. As these two candidates move into the general election, maybe Caruso should start shopping where Bass shops (and we doubt that’s The Grove).
